Gregory Sotzing is a Professor of Chemistry and Polymer Science at the University of Connecticut USA, and he holds graduate faculty appointments in Physics, Materials Science, and Materials Science & Engineering. He is a member of the National Academy of Inventors (2017) with >50 patents and a sale to Samsung on a novel conductive polymer as a hole transport layer, as well as founder of 3 startup companies with specific applications in the broadly defined areas of Pharmaceuticals, Biomaterials, Metal composites, and Cannabinoid chemistry. Greg is an elected member of the Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering CASE (2014) and was a recipient of the NSF CAREER award (2002). The Sotzing research group focuses on the design and synthesis of polymer materials, and more recently, pharmaceuticals and biomaterials.
