Prof. Dr. Hatice KAPLAN CAN Hacettepe University BIOGRAPHY Prof. Dr. Hatice Kaplan Can graduated from Ankara High School in 1991. She obtained his B.S. in Chemistry from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Engineering and Department of Chemistry in 1996. She received her MSc (1999) and PhD (2003) degrees in Polymer Chemistry from Institute of Science of Hacettepe University. After PhD, she worked as a researcher at the Max Planck Institute (MPI) of Colloids and Interfaces in Germany. Since 2006, she continues her academic career as a lecturer at Hacettepe University, Department of Chemistry and Division of Polymer Chemistry. Kaplan Can's research interests focus on design, synthesis and characterisation of advanced polymeric materials. Her research encompasses functional alternating water-soluble co- and terpolymers, nanostructures and hierarchical composite materials with an emphasis on wide spread applications.
