Esra Zayim is a Professor at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), where they have been a faculty member since 2003. With over two decades of experience in research and teaching, their work focuses on advanced materials and renewable energy technologies. She has conducted research on thin film coatings for electrochromic smart glasses, publishing extensively in high-impact journals. They have held visiting research positions at renowned institutions, including the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in the United States worked with Dr Satyen Deb who is father of electrochromism and KU Leuven in Belgium.
